New Parrotlets this weekend!

I am getting four young parrotlets this weekend, from someone who just doesn't have the time for them.
These are our first parrotlets, so I am now looking online for as much info as I can get my wonky eyes to absorb at a time. But, can anyone here give me a crash course in parrotlets?

I feed my budgies Abba 1600 budgie and small hookbill seed mix as their basic food, is this okay for parrotlets, I seem to remember reading somewhere that they should eat a different mix than budgies, but since this is not specifically just a budgie food, is it okay for the seed part of their diet? The place I read this was not detailed about what should be different. I buy the Abba seed in 30-50 pound bags because I have so many budgies, so if it's okay to share with the parrotlets, that would be great. If not, I can get other seed, or is there something to add in to the budgie seed to make it better?

Then there's fresh food--how much, what kinds yes, what kinds no, and in a pinch can I really get away with thawed (but not cooked) frozen veggies like corn and peas and carrots and green beans, like I read somewhere?

I'm both very excited, and completely panicked. I had been reading up on these birds, but now faced with the reality of them coming home this weekend, suddenly I feel like I don't know anything!!!

Awesome! So glad it worked out! So, what is it... 2 boys, 2 girls? I remember she said 2 were sisters & then one was their brother. Not sure about the 4th one (other than that's he's green and apparently the others aren't!). Did she tell you the colors?

Can't wait to see pictures.

Are you taking the finches as well?

Yes, taking the finches, too. Then my Spices go in with her single Spice, and her Societies will go in with my Societies, and that should solve the cranky Spice finch problem I am having, I am very sure.

She has two sisters and a brother, who are all blue, then an unrelated female who is green. Right now they all live together, and she said they are still young and no one is showing any signs of, well, "getting frisky". The male is best buddies with the green female, and then the two sisters are best buddies, those are the pairs they snuggle in to sleep at night. So, when the time comes, if it comes, that they need separating, it will work out well as they have already picked the best pairing.

We will be getting them on Friday or Saturday. Waiting to hear if hubby's grandmother, who lives a bit south of there, wants us to come visit, then we would get the birds on the way home. Otherwise, we will just go there for the birds. I'm so excited!!!

I have a blue parrotlet, named Sweetpea. They are a lot of fun and have tons of personality. I often liken them to the Chihuahua of the parrots. They, like Chihuahuas are very small, but have full-size personality and attitude. I feed her the same seed as a parakeet, and also give her fresh veggies and eggs. She is not a fussy eater. Now the difference between four parrotlets and one parrotlet, is that it is very likely they will not become super attached to you, since they have others. I thought about getting another, to keep her company, but the breeders said if I want to keep her as a pet, then don't get another. Oh, they can learn to talk. Look it up on Youtube. It's quite cute. It's a high pitch, sing/song kind of talk, but you can understand them. Congrats!
