Could a parrotlet chew through a large nylon zip tie?
I mounted their big beech-branch perch in the cage with zip ties. Now I see two of the parrotlets biting at the one at the bottom stem of the branch. Working very determinedly on it.
IF they chew through it, the whole big branch assembly could fall. Do I have a problem in the works here?

I think your parrolets have found a new toy! Once focused on something like this they are unlikely to give up. I think you'll need to secure it with something else!

We got them in their new cage on Sunday, late in the day. Monday they got braver about exploring it. Today they evidently are working on seeing what has the potential for destruction.
They went from a cockatiel cage about 18x18 to a Visions double high large cage, to an HQ Flight Aviary, 32x21x35 (plus stand makes it 63" tall). Now they have a huge multi-branched perch complex, a twig and rope ladder, regular ladders, rope-y toys, plastic toys, swinging toys, more perches, real swing, food, water, a fresh-food shelf and clips, a water bath, mineral block, cuttlebone.....and they decided to concentrate on the zip ties.
