Hi Everyone! ~This is my FIRST post in 'All Things Hookbill'! But surely the first of many!
I got my Pineapple Green Cheek Conure tonight!

I named her Coconut!
It was a whirlwind day for both of us! I worked 12 hours not stop without a break, And she traveled from Ticonderoga NY with her breeder and has been out of her environment for over 12 hours. She was so tired when she got to me.
She climbed up to my shoulder and buried herself in my hair/neck, and went to sleep! This was the first time we met! I was so scared and she was so sweet! She is like a little butterfly tickling my neck and hair! I am in LOVE already!
I cannot wait until the AM! I am going to be up before her just so we can say hi before I go to work. Then I am coming home on my lunch break to see her.
I was so excited I forgot to take pics until she was in her cage already sleeping. So these aren't the best, but I will be sure to take plenty within the next few days! (you know me.. LOL)

Nanajennie LOL awwww little Coconut likes it! That is adorable. I can't get over how sweet she looks!!! She looks so cuddly! I wish I could get a conure.. I saw one at the pet store and she would follow me around the cage she was in and try to get through any small hole or crack she could find. They are such smart creatures and are very inquisitive and playful! I am so excited for you and got her being able to live with you!!!

Awww...I am kind of jealous! Our parakeets are not cuddly anymore...they only have eyes for each other. Erol and Flynn are doing well. They had their first great escape and boy did I run to turn off that ceiling fan! Took us 45 minutes to get one down from the curtain rods and the other from under the bed. Flynn's first moult is going very smoothly and gently. But here cere is getting bluish; so she just might be a he! Enjoy your new little guy!
