Developed bad behavior

Post by Harley2013 » Sun Feb 01, 2015 1:50 pm

I know it is 100% natural for buggies to chew. I have a lot of toys and chew things for them, but they insist on chewing up my decorative baskets, which is a new behavior for them to do. They have not done this until recently. Can they be taught not to do behaviors like this or are they smart enough to know " time out" if placed back in the cage? Or do I tell them NO!

Neither reprimand works on parakeets, move your baskets if you don't want them eaten. Perhaps give them an easter basket of their own to gnaw, this is my cockatiel's favorite toy.
