In your first youtube video, it looks like you have 2 pairs of scarlets in the same cage. I'm curious if they all get along well, especially during breeding season. What's been your experience?

vienneparis They were together in that cage before breeding but later I moved them in separate cages for breeding to avoid fighting for the nest boxes.

That makes sense. It would have been pretty unusual for 2 breeding pairs to coexist in the same cage.

I always prefer to give each pair of bird their own cage for breeding. All of my gouldian breeding pairs are also in their own cages. So that they focus more on breeding rather than fighting. Pair wise set up provides more control on who is breeding with who and also breeding history and record keeping is much easier.
I love Gouldian Finches.
