new home for Scarlet Chested Grass Parakeets

Post by finchandlovebird » Mon Jun 08, 2015 4:38 pm

Finished the new cage for my birds (two F040's put together). Now they have 62" length of flight room.

They were both in the nest box for afternoon naps, so I just taped a piece of plastic over the door & moved the whole box to the new cage; this was after I had set up the perches, feeders, etc.
Now...................................I'm waiting patiently (impatiently) for the male to come out as he always does in the afternoon. Can't wait to see how he enjoys his new flight. The female only comes out once in the morning & usually once in late afternoon. They are "brooding" ONE egg, which I think may not be fertile, as it's been over a month now. He feeds her so cute at the box entrance; I just love watching them. :)
(only have 32 Gouldians left to color up & sell; sold quite a few in the last 2 weeks.)

That is a great idea! That would make a wonderful flight for finches as well.
