Hello,

Little Zooie appears to be doing very well (even if he's not too sure of his new friend :D ).

Poor Yellow birdie, he looks like someone bashed him in the head with a frying pan. Did I hear you right ,that he ended up in someone else's nest by mistake? It looks like the poor fellow was given 'quite' the welcome.

Let's hope that his wing heals properly.

I really love the bird set up that you have. It looks absolutely wonderful, with everything so lush and green all around.

Yes he went in Tweety's nest box and she dealt to him. Tweety is a Red Rump, she is the yellow one in the video below. Red Rumps are about 3 times the size of a Turk so he didn't have a chance.
I heard the commotion and ran out and opened up the box to see him cornered, both of them covered in blood.
For weeks he has only been able to jump a few inches off the ground, but today he manage quite a bit of flying, including flying up from ground level to high perches so he is doing quite well now.

Thanks for watching.

Gorgeous looking birds.

Why in heaven's name though are they called Red Rumps? LoL....
As much as I looked, I couldn't see any red on their rump (or am I looking at them from a wrong angle #-o ?

Little Yellow Fellow, was lucky to come out alive from an encounter with an angry Mama. Poor little guy. I hope Zooie and him become pals, they'll be good company for one another.

Thanks for the videos btw. They are very enjoyable =D> .

The male does have a red rump, but that is mostly hidden under the wings.

I think I will have to move the Red Rumps out as Tweety is getting too aggressive and protective. Charlie, our head Cockatiel is currently inside with an injured eye thanks to Tweety. :|

Hopefully soon I will have time to build an aviary for Zooie and Yellow outside so they can fly around together.

That's one Tweety that the Putty Cat wouldn't want to meet, lol.
