We are teaching he all sorts of zany phrases. When I tend the finch cages (hes on my shoulder)I say " Hey birdies wheres my rent! pay up!" and I shake my head up and down at Ronin.

He shakes his head back and moves his mouth like hes trying to figure out how to say it. Should make the evening cage rituals entertaining. *giggle

He's just beginning to learn how to learn! Years ago when practicing tricks with my young African Grey Parrot the light went on and he became an eager student. It became much less about the little sliver of almond or a sunflower seed and more about the satisfaction of doing the trick right. He wood strut long coffee table with "I got this" attitude. He had a little basketball hoop I made him that he would put a little basketball in. He also had three wooden pegs painted each a different color with matching rings on each peg and he would be able to put the right ring on the right colored peg. The more I taught him the faster he learned. We haven't done those particular tricks in awhile and I'm not sure if he would get them right but I am sure he would be quick to learn it again. You're in for a lot of fun! :D
