w.l. A "Huge cage" cant stand on a stand right? they usually are on the ground as a stand would break under the weight of something so heavy right?
I currently own:
An Australian shepherd
Many chickens
4 goats
A cat
And a bunny

I guess "huge" is a very flexible term when applied to cages. I would say no cage is big enough for a macaw, they should only be in aviaries.

Ahhh good eye :-B I think you both are right. A little change here and there, but the same overall pattern. WI , I liked the way you found the overlapping ads. Gives me an idea of how to scan the pets section now. I never thought to hunt for similar ads with different species.

I was hoping they would have a phone number so I could call and mess with them a bit. I wanted to ask when the macaw's next rabies shot was due and ask nonsensical questions like :)] "Did you remember to get her distemper and kennel cough?" "Has she has her heartworm test?" and record the hilarity :YMDEVIL:

I was dissapointed there was no phone number.

I might have to look into that bottle for my ringneck. He likes to bathe in his water bowl twice a day. This would keep his drinking water clean. Thanks for the pics!

They can't provide a phone number as they are not in North America but most likely in someplace like Nigeria or India, countries where most internet scams and touting originates. They could easily manipulate their GPS location, but couldn't provide you a number there, and in any case even if talking on say Skype, their accent would quickly betray the image of that Caucasian girl posted with the bird.
Such ads should just be ignored, or perhaps reported to the site where they were posted.

Careful scammers out there!
I got the following message following an ad I posted for looking for strawberries. I would not fall for it.

"Hello,
thanks for the mail regarding my lovely birds ready for
their new homes .They are still available and needs a good home to
take them in now and for ever. They would come either separately or
both depending on you .DNA registered with all shots, vaccines and vet
records updated, Current vaccinations, Veterinarian examination,
Health guarantee, DNA registration papers,Raised with children and are
well socialized. Below are some important information you will need to
know About the birds:

Gender: One Male And One Female
Pet name: Rose And Rocky
Age: 1 year 7 days
Potential: Perfect Pet
Temperament & Personality: Perfect temperament and great with kids and
other pets.
I am giving these birds away because I am working as a nurse in the
Peace Keeping Force with the U.N as my new job and when I arrived the
new area two weeks ago, I noticed that my working hours are not O.K.
for me to continue to keeping them with me, I am always very busy at work and
have less time to spend with the birds. Can you imagine I can't spend
more than three hours with them a day?. so I cannot keep them with me
as its highly restricted in my apartment here in Thunder Bay,ON, so i
can arrange for the birds to be delivered over to your home and you are require to pay just $270 for
each bird including transportation fees to your home with crate if needed and $475 will be for the both birds including transportation fees over to your home with crate. They
would be Coming with:

# Health guarantee
# Vaccine record
# DNA registration papers
# Cage
# Microchip Registration
# Pedigree
# Nutrition supplement
# Traveling Crate

Getting a good home for Them is the most essential thing I have ever
wanted for them. So i have some few questions for you which I hope you
get back to me with the answers sincerely. I just want to make sure
they are getting into the right home. Hope you don't mind ?

Where about are you located?
Why do you need a bird ?
How soon do you need them ?
What sex are you interested in taking?
Male or Female Or Both?
Do you have any experience in raising a birds (or pets in general)?
Do you presently have kids and other pets?
Are you morally and financially prepared for a bird ?
Who will look after the bird when you are not around?
A name and contact number? Would be appreciated.Hope you don't mind
getting back to me with the possible.Feel free to ask any questions
regarding the birds of any.

My regards and waiting for your kind response."
I love it that Strawberries are offered with pedigree, vaccine record and even microchip registration! :-)

An add just popped with the same scammer about two african grays.
Can you spot the simularities? "They balance nicely on the shoulder while one moves from room to room" and a few other details. Completely different email contact of course. :-L

This is a relentless scammer here. This one only wants to "scam" $320 for both african grays. :-W

Also "Very tame hand reared baby ready for new home." is from the macaw ad (#3 part).

But some of it is new.
Looks like the poster tried to be a bit more creative and add a few sentences himself, resulting in rather funny English:
"They will sit and entertain herself "

""They will sit and entertain herself " Although broken english, it conjures some entertaining mental images. Cracks me up.

I'm now communicating via email with the macaw scammer who is asking all kinds of questions, which I answered in a way that doesn't compromise my personal info.

I ended the last email with "What date was the rabies shot given?" :))
I'll post them when after I play with them a little more. B-)

Yes indeedy I am messing with him. *giggle* It also reveals the type of questions they ask so that we can make people more aware of how the gradually groom you for information and payment. I'm still waiting for a reply to the "when did she get her rabies shot?" email.

Yep I am going to have a blast with this one. ;) Im thinking of using using another email and mess with them on their african gray post as well. Since it's obviously the same scammer on both posts.
