Look At All These Budgies!!!

Post by lovezebs » Thu Oct 12, 2017 9:38 pm

Hi All,

Although the article is poorly written, the content, the pictures, and the video of this phenomena, is quite fascinating and interesting to look at.

Enjoy...

Wow.
I never have seen that many in one place, nor do I ever really want to. Think of how much vegetation they will eat.
I currently own:
An Australian shepherd
Many chickens
4 goats
A cat
And a bunny

Never thought of all the poop that would rain down (although Budgie poops are usually fairl dry and compact, lol)

Regarding the vegetation, I guess it's a fairly wild area, and it does mention that there were heavy rains, and therefore lots of growing grasses for them to eat.

It's simply amazing to see such huge flocks. I would imagine you can hear them from quite a distance away.... I know I can hear my two all over the house %-( %-( %-(

Sparrowsong98 ...budgies are endemic to Australia's natural ecosystem and have been 'forever'...what they eat is part of Nature, here. It is the introduced 'pests', that are a worry, as to what they consume and also the damage they inflict upon the fragile ecosystems that make up our environments...
Thanks for posting lovezebs - wild budgies are a delight.
I love hearing the chatter in the early morning, made by our mob of budgies...great way to begin the day.

Lol that's a lot of budgies. I love the noise of budgies, and I really enjoying listening to my 5. They probably don't seem as loud when they are outside compared to when they are inside tho lol.
