Plucking tail feathers

It's not mites, or anything else. My male lovebird Night is yanking out his tail feathers. I don't even know why. He got in constant arguments with his mate until I was forced to separate in the last few days.

I give toys, foods, everything..... what should I do?

Likewise health issues have been ruled out. Maybe stress is a factor?

Night went on the attack. He's in the same room with the other birds, but for the safety of him and Harley I separated them. I've been advised to push hand taming and out of cage time due to the plucking. I discovered he had pulled feathers from his back too.

Night wing was a breeder bird. Harley is his mate but there was a swift rise in cage fights between them. I saw and read enough to know separating was the only thing I could do.

How long have you had Night and what size cage was he in with the two of them? Was he always like this, and if not, when did things change? Has there been any changes in his environment? It might be stress related. It's just finding out what the stress is.
