does anyone have experience with close banding diamond dove babies? i am new to close banding in general. i just finished close banding a clutch of zebra babies, and it went very well
my diamond doves are sitting on eggs again, and i would like to close band the chicks when they hatch. i bought the appropriate sized bands for the doves. is there any difference in the way that the band will go on with the shape of the dove foot? the finch foot has that back toe that is pretty flexible, does this change at all with dove feet? anything else i should know?
any advice would be appreciated! thanks!

Re: close banding diamond dove babies
All perching birds have the same basic foot structure--three front toes and one back toe, all of which are flexible so the bird can grasp the perch. Closed banding the doves should be the same as your Zebras, as long as you have the correct size. And kudos for closed banding!
