Babies are looking good Amy! How common is it for you to even have had three eggs hatch? I wouldn't think very. Keep the pictures coming. Bob

Re: Two diamond dove babies hatched!
well one of the chicks fledged today! its like a ginormous puff ball waddling around and squeaking
its sibling is a lot smaller so i hope it will catch up soon. i close banded the second (smaller) baby today. i hope that it will do well, it is really tiny compared to its sibling. maybe the parents are feeding the larger one more food? anyways, here are some pics!

sadly the second baby didn't make it today i went to check the doves and the poor little thing was dead in the nest. last night i was sure that it didn't look like it was breathing properly, and it wasn't growing. rest in peace little dove
the other baby is doing well and growing fast though! here's a few pics from today.

Take as many pictures as you can now because they grow up fast!
I get the feeling you have a male.
Sorry to hear about the other.

I can't get over how cute this baby is! What size cage are they in? 15x18?

hi dante the baby is pretty cute, i agree! i was watching it today and the parents are teaching it how to forage for seeds so it was walking around, pecking at the seeds on the floor of the cage, and learning how to eat from the seed trough.DanteD716 wrote: I can't get over how cute this baby is! i have them in one of those long breeding cages that has a divider that you can put in or take out. i'm not exactly sure how big it is. i currently have the divider in as there is a lonely female next door to them, (her mate was the one who sadly developed twirling). soon i will move them all into a larger community cage so they can exercise for a few months
