Oh what fun! We made ours, used to hatch out chicks for the kindergarten classes in town when our kids were small. What kind of quail and chicks are you interested in hatching?

How did you make it? Id rather do that if its cheaper. Lol, and courtenex (hope that is how you spell it) quail, button quail, the bob white quail are also pretty. Lol, and maybe some chicken (silkies) I think it will be a fun experience

I'm wondering if these quail would all get along in an outdoor coop with a run/yard ?

Ducks are so fun and cute! You really have to watch the humidity though, they're a bit tougher to hatch.

My father made an incubator from plans found in "Mother Earth News" about 40 years ago. When I got married my husband made the same kind for us. :D
Here's a link to several designs, you should be able to find one that works well for you.

It's really just a container with a light bulb, water source and a thermostat wafer.
Here's a link to incubator parts and what's available. Maybe an ebay or amazon search could get it cheaper for you.

Keep us posted on your progress :D
