Ringneck Dove Questions
I'm thinking about adding a pair of Ringneck Doves to my flock and I have a few questions. What size cage would be best? What do I feed them? Are they relatively easy to breed?

Re: Ringneck Dove Questions
I have seen them kept in in 30x18 breeding cages but they are sometimes too tall. If you had a cage roughly 30x1830 that would be good. They spend alot of time on the ground and prefer platform perches from what I have read. You can by a dove blend at any petstore, and you can offer fresh greens and eggfood. They breed readily in captivityLithium wrote: I'm thinking about adding a pair of Ringneck Doves to my flock and I have a few questions. What size cage would be best? What do I feed them? I believe it is very beneficial, because doves do not remove the hulls of their seeds, and fruit helps them digest their food. You can use ABBA mineral grit, I offer it to all my finchesLithium wrote: Okay, thanks. And I read something about needing to providing grit somewhere, is this true?
