I have tamed and trained an adult collared dove who was kept in a pair. To begin with they were almost wild and both panicked if anybody even approached the cage but after just a few months he would sit on my arm or hand quite happily,even coming when called, stepping up onto objects and walking in a little circle on command. It just took lots of patience (and food!). It is possible!

I LOVE the photos of the canaries free flight time! Just lovely to see that they don't have to be just in a cage all the time!
