What have I done!?

Post by MisterGribs » Sun Mar 05, 2017 2:33 am

While setting up my incubator, I used an egg from the grocery store to test the temperature. After I got it stable, three days later, I took out the egg, casually cracked it open, and went to make egg food for my birds.

There were veins developing!!

If it was a quail egg, those are very often fertile though. Quail aren't raised intensively and usually live in mixed groups.

It was a standard white leghorn egg! Not even organic or marked as fertile, although it was from free range hens so I suppose a male could of got in there.

Ohh my gosh though, having been in the fridge for over a week??
