I have some button quail that i recently got, and inside the hut i put in was a nest and some eggs place inside. Is this a good sign of a preparing to incubate? Would the quail just lay anywhere if they weren't going to lay on the eggs? Any help is appreciated!

Hi there, my Chinese quail have never failed to incubate thier eggs but I have heard it can be hard to get them to sit. How many eggs are there? If she does sit (which hopefully she will ) then it will probably be once all or most of the eggs are laid- hope this helps!
