New bird is definitely a boy as it's a "dilute". The heavier black around the mask of your first bird I would take to indicate a hen, but the yellow of the belly and the dance (shaking head and jumping up and down) is typical boy. The hopping is male gould mating behavior. Girls will shake their heads and twirl their tails, but I've never seen one hop.
