All right! Another parrot finch owner on the forum.
Let's see those pictures -- sounds like you spent quite a bit!

That was meant to read £28 not 328(the £ is on the 3 key, must not have hit shift lol)
Will try take pics later.
Just keeping a eye on her at mo as she seems to spend all the time on the floor, hardly ever on the perches

oh a blue head. They are beautiful. I had to choose between them and the red throated when I first decided to get parrot finches. It was not an easy choice for me. Both are stunning with vibrant colours and personalities. Enjoy.
I like your Zebbie clan too. Nice combo of colours.

The very best way to tell them apart (besides DNA or surgically sexing) is to wait for them to sing or not once they mature. The boys sing the girls don't.
It is rather difficult to sex visually unless you have others to compare with. Sometimes the hens have less colour intensity, but then again the same can be said for young ones. On some you can see less colour on the head markings. Where the males mask extends past his eye while a hens reaches the eye etc. But these are not really conclusive.
You may just have to be patient and enjoy watching your one grow up for now.
I know what you mean about seeing parrot finches and then seeing the variety of species. They are wonderful. Just be aware that they do hybridise with each other, so need to be housed seperately.

Prob wont get anymore, this is first time i come across with any for sale before lol
At the moment it is in with the Zebras in their flight cage.
Will just enjoy watching the personality grow and see if it sings or not
