I bought Spice 3 days ago and he is rather quiet. Does some v. faint chirping, but that's it.
If he was a male, would he be singing already?

If he is a he, he may sing when you aren't watching... you never know. Spices are one of the types of finches that are very hard to sex. He could be a male and just never sing.

When i had a male spice he hardly ever sang because he was less dominant than the nun. Every once in a while I'd hear a song though that was NOT the nun singing so I knew that he was a male.
