You may not have read all the related posts, but, when I first joined this Forum, it was to find someone in my area, who would like to have these Birds, which were given to me.
I even went online with my HOA group to find a taker, and before I got a reply (I got several by the way) I was SO in love with these Birds, I wouldn’t give um up for ANYTHING! That took less than 24hrs.
YES, joy is just the right word !
I should have waited a little longer, to advertise them, and wouldn’t have knowing what I know now. I don’t like to “eat crow” anyway, which is what I had to do, answering those Emails, of the people who wanted them.

Societies are a viable option, when I increase my “Flock”. But, I was at PetSmart the other day, stopped by their Bird display. I looked in several of the Cages, stopping at one, where a little speckled Finch, just stayed right on the Perch (quite close to my face) as I looked at him/her? closely. I could swear it smiled back. It was a Spice I think.
Gees, there must be over a hundred “mutations”. That word sounds bad for some reason, I’d rather call um “Hybrids”! How can a “mutation” be SO pretty!
We’re all hooked on these little guys, they give us SO many hours of “joy” in our lives. But beyond that, just their presents among us, makes us more connected by our common interest in them. That’s a joy I bet the guys who mutated them, didn’t count on, and, that makes it better yet.
