NICE! Very nice!
I want some blue backs,
but here in Calgary they go for $200 each!
Too rich for my blood!

When this addiction hits you, you'll do whatever it takes to get more. This is my third pair since owning gouldians and I've only been on this hobby for about six months.

$300 for a good blue here in Australia. That's why most people just buy splits.
By the way I love your new birds, let's hope they breed just as well. :D

finchman, i hope so too. Actually it's kinda expensive here too, most prices ranges from $100 - $150 but yeah compare to your price it's cheaper specially now that US$ and Oz$ are almost 1:1.

must i add here in australia $300 would be the minimum price to pay for a blue at the moment, i have seen them at around $500. silly price to pay considering they have a much higher chance of dyeing and need way more attention.
is it like that over in america or overseas, or is it just in australia that the blue is so hard to breed???

I am not sure about others, but last season my blue to green ratio was 70% blues. 8)

Update, I have to return the BH/PB/BB to the breeder this afternoon. Since yesterday towards late in the afternoon the bird is all puffed up and basically stay in a perch sleeping. So when I called the breeder this afternoon he asked me to return the bird for an exchange. He gave me a new male RH/PB/BB. So far this one is more active, eating and drinking. Breeder said he doesn't want the bird condition to get worsed or if ever die, he is glad that I called him soon than later.
