Green Singer Floor Aversion?

Do Green Singers usually have floor aversion? I've never seen mine off of the highest perches ever.

I put the tastiest of tasty meals down for the pair this morning and upon returning home it is completely untouched.

My RCCBs seem to have no problem hopping around on the floor but the singers never ever touch the floor of the cage.

Is that the norm? Are they just uncomfortable and settling in?

Mine used to be like that. Until one day a neighborhood finch came around pecking at the seeds on the ground near my bird's cage on the patio. My GS became interested and copied the wild finch and since then, he became willing to go to the bottom of the cage. (if I remember correctly, I have the same cage as you - the 27 by 37).
I think GS in the wild are ground feeders. And I believe mine was wild caught, but I'm not sure.
Btw, my GS also picked up a couple of new songs to sing from the wild finches. I just need to supervise while he's outside to make sure wild bird's don't come too close.

I have 8 GS and they do prefer to sit high in the flight, but come down to eat. If they are new, give them some time. Mine love Millet spray and always go for that or Romaine lettuce. They will not ignore the leafy green stuff. Good Luck.

My female took a while to come down from the highest perch. I think she was a little shy.
It took about 2 weeks until I saw her finally fly down there, and eat the food and bathe with the goulds. Now she will sit anywhere in the cage
