Hilary..Are you there?

Just wanted to ask you about your gouldians. I have been looking for some with blue in them and was hoping you may be able to breed this color. I didn't see anything on your site.

Something like this? Black head too. Males or females.

You took a picture of my little Victoria! My only blues are my breeding stock (like her), but my friend Elvira often has blues and I know that she has several juvies coloring up right now - check with her. My little hen that looks like the picture is raising a clutch for the first time (first two tries ended up with fosters). I just peeked in (they're about 2 weeks old and she's calmed down) and there are four kids in there! I'm such a proud grandmother.....

Good deal. I've been pondering getting a pair since last year. Now that I have a house and don't rent I can make space. Might be a few months but I want to do some planning.

Be sure to get one blue and one definite split-to-blue (visually another color but with a blue parent). That should give you nice strong chicks! Victoria's beau, Joey, is split. First two clutches gave me all split chicks (no blues), but I don't know what she has in the nest this time around. Can't wait to see!!

I'll get a time together when I can contact Elvira. I'll ask her about the split and stuff because I'm not good on the genetic side. Thanks!!

Oh, just to be clear that isn't a picture of my bird, but it looks EXACTLY like her. (BTW, looks like five chicks now...)
