I have never figured out how the beak grows.
You triggered my curiosity on that subject again.

Re: Gouldian Molting
Just wanted to update with new pictures of her. Shes doing really well, pin feathers are coming in now, its only been a week since I seperated them. Shes eating alot of eggfood/shell/cuttlebone..seems she cant get enough lol. Her mirror is a little messy, shes always sitting there feeding or playing with it, poor girl lol.
Thank you everyone for all your advice/help

*P.S
I will be getting another gouldian pair sometime next week.
Im undecided on which to get. They are all normal green back, but I get to choose between, red head, yellow head, or black heads. I was thinking a male YH, and a female BH
we will see.

Re: Gouldian Molting
*sigh* well now she has either ASM or some sort of infection
I caught her today and held her to my ear and heard sort of a whistling sound when she breathes. she fluffs herself up on occassion not every single time though. she seems to preen more than usual (compared to other goulds) but could be due to all the new feathers coming in. just what I need.
