Hi all...

I just thought I'd share pictures with all of you. Here is a pix of our Mommy and her our first clutch of baby goulds.

Babies...

Post by northernflirt » Thu Feb 28, 2008 10:26 pm

Thanks all...we think they're pretty cute too. Funny though, all the babies pix we've seen before the Goulds were pretty light colored. We're amazed that they're this dark. If they didn't have those glowing baby spots for feeding they could have been baby Zebra!

Everday they amaze us...they're growing so we have to do a double take that they aren't one of the adults already!!

I've read that they normally take about 9 months to 'color out'; is that about right?

Sandy :D

northernflirt - usually juvie Goulds finish their first molt about 6 months of age, but it can vary widely. My first four juvies are about 2 months old now, and though they don't look like they are molting, there are lots of tiny feathers all around their cage, so I think they have started.
