The stars would be my best option ATM, until I get my cage rack. But, if I sell:
4 society males, an OC waxbill male and one zebra (all of which I wanted to clear out anyways) and add that to my money put away I will have 150, just enough for linnies. And they only have star hens anyways. :?

Bew strategy, forget new birds, work with what I have now, and save up for a flight. If my final report card is good I get a cage rack for my bday/god grades. So I'll have a rack and fliht, get rid of all these misc. cages. I like this new plan!

Dante
How old are you? I did not realize you were still in school. You are quite mature if you're under 18.

Go with what fits your current finch population as far as cages, sizes, compatibility, etc. I often want some species that I have to admit will not readily fit into my existing group of finches.
That is some good advice. It is easy to get something and then realize that it was a mistake.

Is it Markheim? If they are $40 each there, they have come down because they were $99 for a pair a while back!

L in Ontario wrote:Dee, you should come to Ontario. We have Stars a little more affordable here but that's a great price in NY. Stars are wonderful birds to have but need much more privacy for breeding than Gouldians .
Really? I want some so bad. But the breeders here have them at such a high price.
