how high is the nest from the ground?
Lolita was young when she had our three current babies, could not have been more then 8 months old. i was TERRIFIED that she would toss so i lowered the nest(and made sure Lux was ok with it) put a perch in front of it, and lined the cage floor with paper towels as a cushion!
i am sorry about your baby zebbie! how old was he?

Sorry to hear your loss. This is what we all have to deal with breeding season. I cleaned up one of the flight cage yesterday and found a baby just hatched and on the floor. He/she has been going still - we put little poor thing in the egg brooder (the one Sally uses) - I hope the baby makes through today. Tomorrow my hubby will take the baby to work and hand feed him/her ... I am hoping it works ... hang in there...

Sorry for your loss. Are there other babies? If so, I hope they do ok.
