When to get ready for new birds to breed?

I haven't found any feathers but My birds like to use burlap theads I take one of the bags that garlic cloves come in tie one shut and fill with strings and then just hang on a perch and they pull out

that is what I have done bought a feather pillow and used that.I will admit I got mine from a op shop,Bleached it to sterile,ran it through the washing machine,then put it in a onion bag in the sun to dry and sterilise.

Also mine love emu feathers they are very long about 10 cm.maybe you guys could try some ostridge feathers.I bet the African birds would love them.
