When to get ready for new birds to breed?

Ouote sally I'm surprised that someone at the bird marts don't buy a pillow or two and sell a small handful in plastic bags for nesting. I'm sure you could probably make a little money doing it. After all, a standard pillow would last most people a few decades to use![/quote]
that is what I have done bought a feather pillow and used that.I will admit I got mine from a op shop,Bleached it to sterile,ran it through the washing machine,then put it in a onion bag in the sun to dry and sterilise.
Also mine love emu feathers they are very long about 10 cm.maybe you guys could try some ostridge feathers.I bet the African birds would love them.
