Rejec Makes His Debut!
"Rejec" fledged today! So excited that he survived after being tossed by his Gouldian parents, then fostered by two MALE STARS! Hopefully he will flourish with his three "siblings" from the previous clutch that are just coming into their colors. (they were raised by their parents until fully weaned... Rejec's parents). Mom was "Lady Blue", that I just lost a week ago. One of the three siblings is a black head/ blue back just like mom! I will post photos soon. I'm so grateful to have these babies from Lady Blue. She was a beautiful girl !!! This baby will probably look like dad..."Pretty Boy"! (black head, purple breast, green back/split to blue).

Soooo funny to see "Super" Star foster dads feed Rejec when he LOUDLY begs, no matter where he is in the aviary. They watch his every move and one of the dads are right behind him constantly!!! Too cute and so odd at the same time!!! But odd or not, I'm so happy they made their odd relationship work!
