Mixing question....

Post by peter121378 » Thu Apr 07, 2016 9:46 am

Hi All,

Is it okay to place a female and a male Society w/ a female Gouldian or is it better to just place a female Society w/ the female Gouldian?

I've got female and male societies with several male gouldians right now. They're getting along fine, but I also don't have a nest in the cage. If I put a nest in, I think the societies would be chasing my gouldians. They get very protective of their nest....(at least mine do)

Thank you Stacie. That's my plan for now to not have a nest and just keep a pair m/f of Societies and the female Gouldian in one cage. Then when I decide to breed the Societies I'll put them in a breeding cage and get another friend for the Gouldian.
