male zebra

New male zebra finch
I might like to mate him if find nice friendly female for him.
Would I be able to mate this summer? Or too young this year?

His check patches are light. Will they darken, is it because he is still young?
2 months or 4 months old?

He sings a lot. Very cute and lively.
Tho sometimes he likes to sit on the bottom of the cage instead of perch or swing.
And he hops more on the bottom then flying around.

He was in the petstore in a tiny cage with several males and 1 female. The others had been there a while and were now in full battle attack mode with each other.

hi
very bad pic , but he looks like a LightBack BalckBreast may be other things , Bb is very funny to see , if you can found any bb or /bb hen should be ok for him like this you can have very quickly BBs as this mutation is recessive , you can use also ob , bf , or FF but bu this way our will get only splits exept for bf
