Can you house canaries and gouldians together?

Can you house canaries and gouldians together? I'm asking because a prospective buyer for my flight cage and gouldians asked me if she could keep the canaries with the finches (as she would like to keep her canaries in the new aviary.) I have a smaller (breeder size) cage that I'm giving away with the flight cage, so I suppose the gouldians could go in there, though they wouldn't have lots of flying room.

I've read that they *can* get along, but I'd appreciate any opinions from you guys. I can always sell the finches separately to someone else if housing the two species together isn't a great idea.

How big is the flight? Is she breeding the canaries or finches? How many in finches and canaries in this flight?
Canaries are very peacful but they all should have plenty of room.

The flight measures 41.25” x 28.25” x 87.00” and can hold 3-5 finches. The lady has 4 canaries so....I'm thinking the options are either: 1) Put the Gouldian pair in a separate cage (I have a smaller cage I can give her) or see if she wants to buy everything but the birds from me and find a different home for the birds. I don't know if her canaries are breeding, but I'm just guessing they are not since she wants them to all go into the same cage?

I think the gouldians would feel overwhelmed by her 4 canaries, though they may would end up being the boss. Hopefully you can educate this new buyer of the proper housing of these creatures. Maybe she will purchase another larger cage for the gouldians... Good luck
