my female CB is happy that her mate died!!!?

:cry: my male CB died from an unkown reason, niether of them sang or did anything, but they always slept together. When my CB died my female started singing all day long and made wierd parrot-like noises... is she happy he died?

More than likely she is calling for her mate. Most finches do not like being alone and grow very attached to the company of another. Very sad. Sorry for your loss. :(

Sorry for your loss, but I agree with the others. People may sing out of happiness, but birds are usually calling for a mate, or announcing their territory to keep other birds away.
