I'm a bad speller ok!?
But last mother's Day my uncle bought my G-ma a society. Now it's almost a year old. How long do they live? And Now I also have aSpice finch. Any body know the life spans?

Average lifespan reports seem to flucuate a great deal...
...but I think 8-10 years is a reliable estimate...
A bird in the hand...requires some serious washing up...

I thought the lifespan for societies was more like 4 years?

I've had Societies live much longer than 4 years. They are pretty hardy birds and their laid back attitude seems to extend their lifespan.
