Pie is the bird on the left, She has a darker breast and lighter wing feathers the others don't have....

Pie closer up, Enjoying their favorite grass

Pie in the middle...

Pie on the left, they grab pieces of grass and stuff the nests too.
When not given Grass I have seen them lift a millet strand and stuff that in the nest too.

Pie is on the right.. I think she is females, as she gets sung to but
I never see her sing at anyone...

Wild Mannakins outside, I think this is a male singing to his girl...

A bronze wing next to a nutmeg mannakin or Spice I guess, also Called Scaly breasted Mannakin outside...

another shot of them, eventually the mannakin attacked the nutmeg and it left that area. ( They left there were two nutmegs)...

You can use all you want, if credit is given you can also take out the Arsdelicata.com thing, or I can send you pics without that mark on it by e-mail.

I hope to fotograph and share more of wild birds here in Puerto rico as well as those birds introduced like the mannakin that have now become part of the fauna here .

You are welcome to post any of those future pics as well as long as you ask and give credit.

Great pictures! The pied one is so unique! It looks like a society finch got in the mix somehow

I know right I keep thinking that Pie might exist with her unique calor patern, because her mother, cheated on her mate with a Society before I got them.... But She is identical to her sibblings and parents in every other way except the different color.
( I have to look up societies and compare pics)

I do know that all the societies I have seen are
really big compared to the bronze wing though.

I am siked to try and get pictures of the wild birds though, plus the endemic finch, the "Puerto Rican Bullfinch" ( Black with orange head throught and undertail.
