Sorry to hear the eggs were infertile. Maybe next time. Some plucking is part of the ritual... is she yielding to him? Allowing him to mate? If so I would let them breed. If he is chasing and plucking too much then of course she is not in the breeding mode.... but I would assume she is since she just laid eggs...... maybe since she didn't incubate steady then it's just a little early. Yes I hope it was a little early and I don't know if she's allowing him to mate or not - I'm not around long enough to find out.
