A few pics

Post by akidsgal » Mon Jan 18, 2010 5:07 pm

Here are just a few of my birds. I have a single Owl. There are 2 separate pics of my handicapped blue female and her "other half" Dilute male Gouldian. She lost her foot in an accident with the nest. She had a split band on and it caught in the nesting material.
I can't wait for them to breed again as I lost three of the 4 checks in their last clutch. The one I do have is a male that has turned out to be a Pastel Blue. He is just georgeous :)

First 2 of my yellow fe/male? She is looking better but I did not get a pic of her breast. She has really been the sick one... I think she had ASM when I got her and treated ALL the birds.

Then a couple of females that are going to be traded with another member on here of my 2 female Goulds from one of my last clutches. They are being a bit stubborn about getting all their colors in...

Cute birds!

I'm just curious though and I hope you don't mind me asking: Do you have other perches/branches in the cage besides the ones that are visible in the picture? It's really good for birds feet when they have various sizes, preferably natural branches... They might like them better too, and if you combine them with some fake greenery they have nice hiding places...
Walk-in aviary with Waxbills (6 Cordon Bleu, 3 Orange Cheek, 3 Black-rumped, 1 Lavender, ), 1 European Goldfinch, 4 Gouldians, 2 Spice Finches, 6 Owl Finches, 4 Budgies and 2 male Button Quail.
I also have 2 parrotlets, 3 dogs, 1 snake and 3 freshwater fishtanks.

Yes. I have several perches in their cage. They were too funny when I was taking pics and were pushing each other off the treat tray.

None of them went to the other side to see about hiding. Then of course the bunnies were hopping about making a rucus as I was paying attention to the birds....

I swear .... jealousy in all forms here!

They have wood perches that came with the cages, then branch perches and also the ones that they trim their nails and beaks on.

The greenery is hidden on the other side of the cage.

I have one of the first ever digital camera made. It is OLD and acting just like me! Stubborn and wanting things to be up close so I can see....

It only has one enlarging setting otherwise the pics are blurry.
