Our finches in a hut - pic

Post by Anneka » Tue Jul 10, 2007 1:39 am

We took a pic of our Society and Shaft-tail in a hut.
We bougth the hut a week ago and finally a few days ago, our Society started flying closer and closer to it. Then yesterday, we found them both in there. :)

I am pretty sure our Society is a female based on her behavior, but I am not sure about the Shaft-tail. I do not want any breeding.

That is the cutest picture. :) I was wondering if they would like the huts since they are cloth.

Thanks Hope.
They have been spending a lot of time in there now. At least half a day and they also sleep there.

The shafttail looks like a hen to me, but it's hard to say for sure.

Crystal, I hope you are right.
However, I do not see any nesting behavior on Shaft-tail's part. Society loves to bring pieces of grass, rope to their hut, but not Shaft-tail.
