Green Singer question

Post by PearBlossom » Mon Mar 29, 2010 11:22 am

Can I put a Green Singer in the same cage with Gouldians? Or is that a bad idea?

I have one Cordon Bleu with my male Green S. and they're just fine. In fact, the GS is the one that's so scared of the other it flies away every time the CB lands too close to it. Sometimes the GS opens its beak as if it wants to attack but it only does that to warn the CB not to get too close to it.It never chases the CB or anything. I also have another GS (female) and another CB in another cage and they're fine togather too. No fighting or anything. But you do need to know that all individual birds are different. So, it's best to keep an eye on them for a few days to see if there's any aggression between the two if you decide to put them togather.

Thanks for your help! And youre right...every bird is different. We shall see what happens! My blue back Gouldian rules the roost right now. Im getting some Red heads soon and Ive heard that red heads can be kinda bossy. I just wasnt sure about putting one Green singer in with a bunch of Goulds.
