Star Finches

Post by akidsgal » Tue Apr 06, 2010 7:07 pm

For my own reference, how long will it take for a fledgling star to color up? It seems that one of my youngins decided that s/he can get more food out of the nest seeing as no others will fledge for a week or so.

little stinker..........

I haven't really kept track of when mine colored up, but the ones that fledged Jan. 9, which means they hatched around middle of Dec. 09, are now fully colored up. FIC says 4-6 months.
