As many of you know, I recently picked up a pair of Blue Breasted Cordon Bleus. They have settled in nicely and are doing very well! They do seem to be a little sensitive to cage changes, noise levels, etc.
For a couple of days I had a bit of a scare with my male though. One day (my first day back to work after getting them) he was all puffed up and looking pretty raggy. I started getting nervous, but then decided to see if he was ruffled because of the location they were in. Their temporary cage was in the living room, where our dwarf rabbit's cage is. Freckles (the rabbit) can be pretty loud when he is jumping up and down from the first and second story of his cage.

I wondered if maybe the noise level was the issue, so I moved the BBCBs to a quieter spot in another room. After about an hour, the male BBCB seemed just a touch less ruffled. I wanted to put a heat lamp near him but unfortunately I didn't have another working clamp light.

So I decided to leave them there and see how he did.

Luckily by the next morning he was only a touch ruffled, and by the time I came home from work he looked great!
A couple of days later the cages I'd ordered came in and I moved them into their new home. This time the female was ruffled (though not as much) for several hours. Luckily she settled in by morning and they have been doing great since! Here are a few pics!
