A few new birds! Again!!!

I added a few new birds to my aviary yesterday.
I now have a pair of Swees in there along with a BEAUTFUL pied red head parrot finch. I have wanted one since the beginning of my finch addiction. (thanks Misty!) I have never been able to find one locally and fortunately Misty was willing to let me trade a Forbes for one. Woo-Hoo!!!
I also added a male lavender for my two girls which keep laying eggs and feeding all the other babies. They weren't too happy with him last night, but hopefully they are working out their problems today.

Well, I know how they got their name, because that is just what their call sounds like--swee, swee, swee. They are the cutest things, you will love them. Did you get your pair from Misty? Congrats on the new birds, and are they in the new part of the aviary yet?

Oh I just love Swees. They are stunning. I wish they were readily available here, but alas they again need permits etc and are not.

Precious little Swees - I love them Yes, Sally they are from me. I knew she wanted them so we are sharing and trying to get them to breed so that we can keep them going... Donna seems to have beginners luck with many harder species

Here is one of the pied parrot finch. He is so busy and this is not such a great picture. He LOVES the water. I had to take this through the screen so he would leave so it's the best I can do for now.
