I have 2 Javas...a regular and a white...with the inventive names of 'Java' and 'Jilly'
They're definately among my favourites...loads of personality!
A bird in the hand...requires some serious washing up...

Huh...California prohibits keeping Java finches.

thats because they breed freely in the wild!
you can always tell a yorkshireman,but you cant tell him much
