I'm not sure on babies not sure I can get the saint helena (host) finches easily. Ive been doing TONS of research. I am going to find him more of his kind, his aviary is first on my list once were done with winter-most likely first week of feb. I did find some pin tailed whydah vocals on the net-calling and songs. I made wylie a cd of them so he has his own kind to listen to. He has now began to vocalize here=) so glad I heard noise from him, he was to quiet. It also sparked an appetite, he wasn't eatin very much. Once he heard the vocals he called, sparked up and ate. I think he now feels he has a home. Makes my heart hurt for this beautiful bird that he is in a cage and not in africa with his kind. Since he was born into a cage, as soon as his aviary is completed I am getting him girls to have his own kind with him so he is happy.

=D> Sounds like he's a lucky little fella to have you caring for him! Glad to hear he's doing well.
