If you will excuse the pedantry, RFPF are not strictly Australian. They are from New Caledonia. Also, I'd normally advise against keeping 2 different species of Parrot Finches in the same aviary as the risk of hybridisation is too high in my opinion.
The Diamond Firetails should be fine in a good size flight. I've never known them to be at all agressive. The only real behavioral issues with them, such as feather plucking, seem to mostly occurr in cages and cabinets rather than larger flights/aviaries.

Ok, I think y'all are close enough to New Caledonia that I'm not going to rename my flights
The BFPF's are in another flight from the RFPF's (I read they might crossbreed also).. I took pics from both my Aussie flights.. Thanks for the information on the Diamond Sparrows, I really think I will try them (but watch them)
