Do you notice on your BC male, on his flanks, there are a few chesnut coloured feathers mixed in with the black/white dots? I've noticed on one side of my black cheek male, he's got some brown/chesnut mixed in. I'd like to try and breed for pure black/white on the flanks. Pure blackcheek!

Yup yup I did notice that he has a mix of brown and black feathers. BC's can have black or brown side flanks, and apparently mixed.
I agree, I would like to get pure black side flanks later on when I breed him :)
My true dream is to be able to get a LB BC! :D
...so I'm crossing my fingers that he might be split for LB and then I can pair him up with my LB/BC girl. *drools* (his father is LB)

Wow hes beautiful, i do love the black cheek mutation! especially the males very striking :)
