Ameza...did you see John's fawn cheek...his mom to the young looks like Gullbra. We thought she might have been a fawn penguin at first. Your explaination of it resembling a fawn penguin but it being a fawn BB makes sense.

The one little bird with barely a tear has buff or biege tail bars instead of right white...it will be interesting to see how it molts.

I was cleaning out cages today and noticed one of the the fawn babies looks like it may be BB...there is a faint black coloring mid chest to the neck.....hope it is solid BB!!!!!

Thanks Vargur...waiting for that big color change. The coloring in the upper chest looks solid and wide. Hopefully next week I can tell a little better.

This little one appears to have some orange tints to it's back, wings and lower abdomen. The chest patch looks very wide and dark. The cheeks are changing.

From what I read some of these may be influenced by the FC (fawn cheek) mutation as well as the BB (black breasted mutation).
