Well there you go, now you can be in Java heaven.

Are you going to get three, so that you have an even number? (and hope for the best for a 50/50 m/f ratio).

Grab one of those normal colored youngsters quickly! They sound perfect.
Or, if you are so unsure about sexing and they are cheap, get two or three. ;-)
Now you have a chance to put together unrelated pairs, though to keep colors pure, I'd prefer giving one of the new normals as a mate to your old normal hen, even if it means separating her from her newly found silver mate.
When comparing normals of the same age, sexing them based on bill shape should be easy enough as long as not all four are of the same sex.

Tweet, LOL!!! I told my husband that worrying about my birds is driving me to drink. He reminded me that I had a pre-bird wine addiction. Oh...right!

My Java hen (normal/split to pied) is sitting tight on eggs again. This girl... At least if she is sitting tight, that means no more egg laying for a few months. She is an egg laying machine!!

Regarding beak color...I think their beaks are darker red when they are in breeding condition. ?? Might explain why Sweet Pea was instantly in love with the new guy in town. <3
